With the Tour of Italy (and its last minute result with Jai Hindley's victory) now behind us, it's time already to see the Critérium du Dauphiné 2022 start from the Ardèche department and more precisely from Voulte-sur-Rhône. It'll be the 74th edition of this race which is considered by some riders as the ultimate preparation of the Tour de France with its "concentration of mountains" (others will prefer the Tour of Switzerland which starts on 12 June) and it's made up of 8 stages including one individual time trial (the 4th stage, in the middle of the week) for a total distance of 1194.9 kilometers.

With the Tour of Italy behind us, it is now time to see the Critérium du Dauphiné 2019 start from the Cantal department and more precisely from the city Aurillac. This will be the 71th edition of this race which is considered by some riders as the ultimate preparation race for the Tour de France (the organisor of the race now by the way even uses the subtitle "on the way to the Tour de France by the way; others will prefer the Tour of Switzerland which will start on 15 June) and it is made up of 8 stages of which one will be an individual time trial (the 4th stage, in the middle of the week) for a total distance of 1202.1 kilometers.

This Sunday 3 June, the 70th edition of the Critérium du Dauphiné starts in Valence. 153 riders will get to start the race with a solo effort for the prologue of the 2018 edition of the race and 7 other stages will be awaiting them afterwards. Over a total of 958.6 kilometers, they'll see that especially the second half of the week will be decisive in this race, with important mountain parts in the stages.

In this 7th stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné 2013, which quite well respected the subtitle given to this race by the organisors - a pure concentrate of mountains - with the numerous climbs, a big group went off but didn't manage to go on until the finish. In the end it was Samuel Sanchez who won this stage in a duo formed with Jakob Fuglsang on the Col du Noyer.
