Yet another one? Yes, I hear you thinking already ... but this is very special top 10: the one of the most glamorous riders of the Tour de France 2009 by Léa and Marion.
The Jeunes Reporters du Tour
You remember the Jeunes Reporters du Tour 2009? You know, those 4 boys and 2 girls, between 13 and 16 years old, who worked on the Tour as if they were real journalists and regularly published their newspaper à notre tour.
The presentation of the Tour de France is usually also the occasion to give the invitees and especially the Tour followers their goose flesh by showing images of the past Tour de France: a summary of 3 weeks of adventures in less than 10 minutes. This was of course again the case this year and I decided to share that movie clip with you in this article.
In addition to that, for the Tour de France 2010, you'll also be able to discover the full route in 3D and a promotion clip for the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2010 which shows that Rotterdam loves bikes!

Only 11 days to go before the first kilometers of the 96th Tour de France will be done in and around Monaco.
Therefore, it's the time of the year when you can discover the list of participating riders in the Tour again, here for the Tour de France 2009!
In this article you'll find the (pre)selections of the 21 teams of the Tour de France! As soon as their numbers will be announced they will be published here as well.
Maybe you remember the 21st team of the Tour de France which discoverede the Tour last year? That was the Team Vittel which was new in the Tour but still had the idea to win it.
This year the Team Vittel will again be in the Tour de France 2009, still with the same goal (to win the Tour) and - just like any big professional cycling team - the team will open its web site which is presented as a blog for the Tour de France 2009!
The Team Vittel
You cheered on them massively last year on the side of the road and you have elected it as one of your favorite teams ...
After the big success in 2008, the Team Vittel will be back this year!!
originally published on Tuesday 9 June 2009 at 0.13AM, updated with the maps of all stages on 27 June 2009 at 10.32PM
Much later than usual, A.S.O., the organisor of the Tour de France, published the detailed routes and timings of the Tour de France 2009 last Wednesday.
Since I always try to provide you with that little bit of extra information compared to what you can find elsewhere online, it took me some more time but now you can discover not only the detailed routes and timings which list all towns and cities the Tour de France stages visit, but also maps of each of the stages in Google Maps with the possibility to download the full route in Google Earth. If you would like to do a virtual fly-over of the stages' routes, you'll find what you're looking for at the end of this article!
Since 12 March and until the 27th of May the Maison du Limousin in Paris proposes an exhibition named Limousin terre de cyclisme.
Of course everyone knows Belgium and Brittany as cycling countries, but the Limousin region is also a cycling country with especially the Tour du Limousin in August.
The exhibition was officially opened on 12 March and I assisted to the official opening.
The Maison du Limousin
The Maison du Limousin in Paris, which is located at 30 Rue Caumartin in the 9th arrondissement of Paris has been created over 30 years ago. Located in the center of Paris, the maison proposes touristic information about the region and its departments: Corrèze, Creuse and Haute-Vienne, but also a regional library (which regularly proposes lectures and conferences), a shop, exhibitions and other temporary events.
By now you probably know that the brand Champion for the French supermarkets will disappear progressively and be replaced by the brand of its holding company, Carrefour.
One of the members of the Club du Tour de France (the 4 most important sponsors of the Tour de France) thus changes its name, a bit like Vittel took over Nestlé Aquarel's place as official water supplier last year. And with this change of name the polka dot jersey will also get a facelift!
To celebrate this name change, Carrefour already started the Tour!
The Tour de France du Maillot à pois
Under the name Le Tour de France du Maillot à pois the company organises since 30 March and until tomorrow, 24 April, a Tour de France of 37 stages over a total distance of 2000 kilometers between Draguignan and Bonneville via for example Hazebrouck (close to Dunkirk) and Bordeaux.
Employees of the supermarket met each other at the parking of one of its stores for a stage in the morning ...> Read the whole story | 6 comments | shown 9472x

In France banks are allowed to introduce co-branded creditcards since the first of October 2007 and after the Carte Collector Vélo, which was available from the 2nd of May until the 31st of August 2007 for the Tour de France 2007, LCL now has chosen A.S.O., the organisor of the Tour de France, for its first co-branded creditcard.

The Tour de France 2009 will start on Saturday 4 July from Monaco and will finish 3 weeks later (on 26 July 2009) at the Champs-Elysées in Paris.
While the route has been announced on 22 October 2008 already, today the organisor of the Tour, Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), announced the list of selected teams.
17 of the 18 UCI ProTour teams
After the publication of the list of teams which participated in Paris-Nice 2009, the list of teams for the Tour de France 2009 is no real surprise anymore: it's exactly the same list!
Among the 18 UCI ProTour teams only one team is not welcome, Fuji-Servetto (founded on what rests of the Saunier Duval-Scott team (in the mean time renamed in Scott-American Beef)) ...> Read the whole story | 1 comment | shown 18129x
As we now know since a long time already the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2009 will be organised in Monaco.
As all other cities which organise the start of the Tour de France, Monaco has decided to set up a dedicated web site. A preview version of that web site is now online and it already contains some information, especially about the organisation committee looking for volunteers to make this Grand Départ a success.
Monaco receives the Tour
With this slogan the Principality presents itself for the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2009 on the Internet: Monaco accueille le Tour.
