You must have heard about the Lacets de Montvernier already. Since the Tour de France 2015 race route has been announced, we've seen the nice images of these 17 hairpins which form the climb from Pontamafrey towards Montvernier almost everywhere around the world.
What we've seen less however, is the route itself which the riders will take while following these different hairpins.
On Kinomap, we found a video by Florent Ligney, a passionate cyclist who talks about his training and the competitions he participates in on his blog, of this climb. Let's thus discover the Lacets du Montvernier as the riders of the Tour will see them this Thursday at 10 kilometers from the finish in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
Before they'll get there, the riders of the Tour will have done ...
After today's rest day in Pau, the Tour de France 2015 will go on tomorrow, with the first mountain stage. It will take place in the Pyrenees, between Tarbes and La Pierre-Saint-Martin. For La Pierre-Saint-Martin, it'll be the very first time it receives the Tour de France and it's thus not surprising that this finish was being asked for for years now.
The stage will have three 4th category climbs which precede the final climb (see the race route in detail) but it's the mountain top finish which will have a very big influence on the general classification and it might even decide the Tour tomorrow. ...

Just before the start of the Vuelta a España 2014, the Tour of Spain which will start this Saturday in Jerez de Frontera, I offer you the unique opportunity to do a visual flashback on the Tour de France 2014.
From a sports perspective it was a very nice Tour, a bit less from a weather perspective, but despite that there were numerous nombreuses to produce some nice images, both in photo and in video!
In this article you'll of course not find any video images of the race itself (sorry for that, if you expected to find that here) since they are exclusive to the official broadcasters of the Tour de France. However, you'll find photos, taken at the starts or the finishes of the stages and sometimes on the side of the road for certain stages and especially the individual time trial at the end of the Tour. You'll also find videos w ...

Between Embrun and Chorges the riders might not have the occasion to admire the nice views on the Lac de Serre-Ponçon, but you'll probably be able to view them on TV and even in the video in this article!
Early June, as every year, the Critérium du Dauphiné was organised by Amaury Sport Organisation, the same organisor as for the Tour. This race, which is a sort of miniature Tour de France, takes place in the Alps and for velowire.com this was thus the perfect occasion to cover the Critérium du Dauphiné 2013 and at the same time, in collaboration with Kinomap, go discover the main climbs of the Tour de France 2013 in the Alps.
Now the 100th edition of the Grande Boucle enters the Alps, you'll discover day after day a video of the climb of these mountains.
During the 7th stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné 2013, between Le Pont-de-Claix and Superdévoluy today, the riders will climb -for the first time in a cycling race- the Col de Sarenne after the Alpe d'Huez.
Currently in the Alps with Kinomap, I checked out this climb and its current state, just before the Critérium du Dauphiné but of course also before the Tour de France 2013 where these two climbs will be done for the double climb of the Alpe d'Huez during the 18th stage starting in Gap and finishing on top of the Alpe d'Huez.
In the video below you'll first see some images in the descent, where we see quite a lot of gravel, followed by the start and finally the end of the climb.
