The climb of the Lacets de Montvernier in video - 18th stage of the Tour de France 2015You must have heard about the Lacets de Montvernier already. Since the Tour de France 2015 race route has been announced, we've seen the nice images of these 17 hairpins which form the climb from Pontamafrey towards Montvernier almost everywhere around the world.

What we've seen less however, is the route itself which the riders will take while following these different hairpins.

On Kinomap, we found a video by Florent Ligney, a passionate cyclist who talks about his training and the competitions he participates in on his blog, of this climb. Let's thus discover the Lacets du Montvernier as the riders of the Tour will see them this Thursday at 10 kilometers from the finish in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.

Before they'll get there, the riders of the Tour will have done 172 kilometers from the start in Gap and once they've climbed the Lacets du Montvernier, only a rapid descent will be waiting for them before a flat finish in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne (see the detailed race route of the stage on Google Maps for more information).

Let's wait no longer to discover the routes of this climb in detail:
