For the first time, the 7th stage of Paris-Nice 2024 was due to finish at altitude in the ski resort of Auron. This was not to be the case, however, as snow put a spanner in the works for this unprecedented finish!

As a result, the stage was shortened: identical to the route initially planned over its first 88 kilometers, the riders finally branch off towards Utelle at Saint-Jean-la-Rivière, to head for the finish at La Madone d'Utelle.

The route of the 7th stage of Paris-Nice 2024 - Nice > La Madone d'Utelle - 103.7 km

The penultimate stage of this Paris-Nice 2024 will still start on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, and takes place in the hinterland of Nice, known for its major mountain passes.

Very soon the riders will be climbing the 2nd category Côte de Gattières. The remainder of the stage shows no further difficulties until the course changes at Saint-Jean-la-Rivière. Indeed, as they head towards Utelle - where the intermediate sprint will take place - and even more so towards the final climb to La Madone d'Utelle, which is classified as 1st category, things of course get tougher.
