In this article, you'll get the unique opportunity to win a one day VIP trip to the Tour de France 2011 by simply answering some questions! Follow the guide to win an unforgettable day in the Tour!
The one day VIP trip www.velowire.com allows you to win in collaboration with Custom Getaways will take place during the stage between Le Mans and Châteauroux, on Friday 8 July 2011.
For this stage you'll get access to the Village Départ at the start where you'll be able to see all the personalities of the Tour de France and more generally of the world of cycling. From Bernard Hinault to Raymond Poulidor, without forgetting Christian Prudhomme and Laurent Jalabert, you might all see them at the start. Chances are high by the way that several riders come to the village to say hello to some of them, make a phone call or simply drink some coffee before the race.
After having spent a privileged moment at the start, you'll go to the Custom Getaways car which will take you on the roads of the Tour by following the official race route between Le Mans and Châteauroux. The crowds of people standing along the side of the road will encourage you almost as much as the riders who will follow a bit less than an hour behind you and you'll thus spend this day in a party atmosphere!
You'll stop somewhere to enjoy lunch and a second stop will be made, not to wait for the riders to pass by but to get aboard of a helicopter, from where you'll be able to see the escapee(s) and the peloton from the sky which will allow you to fully understand how the race unfolds. Once you've seen that you'll get back on the ground a bit ahead of the riders where the Custom Getaways car will again be waiting for you to continue the journey towards the finish line!
Close to the finish line, your VIP day with Custom Getaways will end in the VIP space where you can enjoy some drinks and food which are at your disposal. While the riders are getting closer to the finish, you'll be able to see how they progress on the giant screen and when they get ready for a bunch sprint you'll be only at a few centimeters from the rider who will cross the finish line first and win the stage in Châteauroux. Daniel Mangeas will as usual comment the race at the finish and also at the official ceremony during which the winner of the stage and the riders wearing the different jerseys will be rewarded on the podium.
You'll be able to get an easy access to the stage start and finish of this stage by train in order to make this an unforgettable day without having to worry a lot about the logistical aspects. From Paris for example you could take the train at 8.05AM which arrives in Le Mans at 8.59AM where someone from Custom Getaways will come pick you up. After the finish you could probably take the train at 6.32PM which arrives in Paris at 8.40PM.

Bonjour Ludovic,
