This week the Tweets of the week are mainly about a newcomer on Twitter. When a rider like Mark Cavendish (HTC-Highroad) joins Twitter, this of course gives some buzz!
We also find his team mate Tejay van Garderen who runs into an old friend in Liège and Steven Cozza (Team NetApp) who discovers something on Twitter. We round up with Alex Dowsett's new shoes and Liz Hatch who's surprised about Jérémy Roy's illness!

Mark Cavendish, what an entrance!

When a rider like Mark Cavendish arrives on Twitter this leads to many comments!

Not really surprising when you see that the rider from the Isle of Man got over 21,000 followers in only a few days!

A certain Chris Clark is annoyed by all the buzz following Cav's arrival on Twitter. He's most importantly surprised by the fact that the rider hasn't even said something while everyone gets crazy already.

Cavendish doesn't really get bothered by this anonymous serial tweeter and after having retweeted his message, he simply writes ... something:

Did you know that it's thanks to his girlfriend, Peta Todd, that the Manx Missile registered to Twitter? The sexy photo model almost seems to be jealous now her boyfriend found in Twitter a new way to kill some time ...

A few days later, during the Easter week, we discover that between team mates things are being said ... quite openly ...

Tejay van Garderen runs into an old friend in Liège

Of course you know that this Easter weekend, La Doyenne, Liège-Bastogne-Liège, took place for the 97th time.

At the team presentations the day before, Tejay van Garderen (Team HTC-Highroad) runs into an old friend ... Nesquik's rabbit ... also known as Quiky!

And of course he shares that on Twitter ...

But when we ask for proof with a photo of him and Quiky, the American rider can't find his friend anymore!

Apparently, Nesquik's community manager was at work as well during this weekend because he noticed one of Tejay's tweets. When he retweets it, Tejay's already thinking about his career after cycling ...

The next day, after the race, when asked whether he has seen Quiky, he answers, quite disappointed, that he hasn't. He adds however that Nesquik, with its rabbit, would actually make a good drink for Easter!

Liz Hatch is surprised about Jérémy Roy's illness ... or about the French way of eating

Jérémy Roy announced this week that the reason of his lack of form was finally known: he suffers from a Toxoplasmose (a parasitical infection which can lead to many different symptoms).

Liz Hatch (a female rider of the Lotto Honda Team)'s comments on this are quite surprising ... apparently she doesn't really like French food!

This at least gives me the occasion to wish Jérémy a good recovery! I hope to see him back in form during the Rhône Alpes Isère Tour!

That's that, those were the Tweets of the week!
