The 2010 Paris-Tours 2010 route on Google Maps/Google Earth, the time and route schedule and the list of participants

The 2010 Paris-Tours 2010 route on Google Maps/Google Earth, the time and route schedule and the list of participantsThis Sunday the 104th edition of Paris-Tours will take place between La Loupe and Tours. This Classic of the falling leaves is one of the last races of the season and the riders will thus want to shine for the last time before the winter break.

The race was won by Philippe Gilbert in 2008 and 2009. Will the Belgian rider be able to complete his triple this Sunday?

In this article you'll find all you wanted to know about this end of season classic: the race route on Google Maps and a downloadable version for Google Earth, the time and route schedule, the 25 participating teams and the list of participants with their numbers.

    The Paris-Tours 2010 race route

Last year ASO signed a contract with the Eure-et-Loir department which stated that Paris-Tours would start from this department from 2009 till 2013. While the start was in Chartres last year, this year it will be in La Loupe, a bit more west.

The distance is similar to the 2009 edition with 233 kilometers against 230 last year. The rest of the race route is also similar but the final has been slightly modified to integrate the Côtes de Beau Soleil, de l'Epan and du Petit Pas d'Ane, at 11, 9 and 4 kilometers from the finish line. This finish line will, as usual, be drawn in the Avenue de Grammont. Since the works for the tramway in Tours have been delayed, this almost guaranteed sprint finish (a 2,700 meter straight line) was still possible for the 2010 edition of Paris-Tours!

Below you can find the race route of Paris-Tours 2010 on Google Maps, its profile and the time and route schedule. Click on each of the images to open them:

  3. Freire, Oscar du Meilleur Sprinteur ! Olé !

    | Sanglier | sunday 10 October 2010 at 21:35:55
