The young Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Doimo) does it doubleThe youngest rider of the peloton of Paris-Nice 2010, Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Doimo), already winner on Wednesday in Aurillac, does it again today with a new stage victory in Aix-en-Provence. El Pistolero keeps the yellow jersey.

    Summary of the stage

Serge Pauwels (Team Sky) didn't come to the start in Pernes-les-Fontaines this morning and Borut Bozic (Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team) left the race quickly after the start, followed a bit later by Francesco Chicchi (Liquigas-Doimo), Dennis van Winden (Rabobank) and Daniel Moreno (Omega Pharma-Lotto).

The stage was marked by numerous escapes with for example Sylvain Chavanel (Quick Step), Dimitri Champion Dimitri Champion(AG2R La Mondiale), his team mate Maxime Bouet, Pierrick Fédrigo (Bbox Bouygues Telecom), Volodymir Gustov (Cervélo TestTeam), Carlos Barredo (Quick Step), Sylvain Calzati (Team Sky) and Rein Taaramae (Cofidis).
At the back of the peloton was a group of riders who couldn't follow, including Laurent Mangel (Saur-Sojasun) who thus lost his polka dot jersey to Amaël Moinard (Cofidis).

Peter SaganBarredo, Calzati and Gustov form the last leading group, but at 22 kilometer they're finally taken back by the peloton led by the Liquigas-Doimo team. The youngest rider of this team, Peter Sagan, places his decisive attack at 2 kilometers from the finish in an answer to an attempt by Christophe Le Mével (Française des Jeux). After having managed to stay ahead until the finish line he lies on the ground to get some breath ... after his second victory in this Paris-Nice 2010. Impressive for this young Slovakian rider who we didn't see earlier in the stage races. A good recruit for the Liquigas-Doimo team.
