After Paris-Roubaix this weekend, where Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) finally got to fulfill his dream (Tadej Pogačar’s will have to wait a little longer), we’re heading back briefly to Belgium for a final series of classics: the Tour of Limburg, La Flèche Brabançonne, La Flèche Wallonne, and Liège-Bastogne-Liège in the span of less than two weeks ..

Let’s start with the 2026 Tour of Limburg (Ronde van Limburg), which takes place over two laps, covering a distance of 178.4 km between Hasselt and Tongeren (1.6 km longer than last year). A minor classic, the Tour of Limburg is more suited to sprinters, even though it features four different climbs that will be tackled a total of nine times (the first loop, containing one climb, is completed twice, and the second loop, containing two climbs, is completed three times).

Below you will find all the information and details about the 2026 Tour of Limburg, including an OpenStreetMap map, the race profile and schedule, the option to download the route in Google Earth, and even the list of starters.

The 2026 Tour of Limburg route on an OpenStreetMap

After the start in Hasselt (first with a loop around the city on the parade route), the riders head southwest before turning left toward Hoeselt, via the Glinberg, then toward the first circuit through Kleine Spouwen, Waltwilder, Mopertingen, and Grote Spouwen. This circuit begins with a 550-meter cobbled section on the Maastrichterallee and ends with the Keiberg.

After the first climb of this second mountain of the day, the peloton will turn left and then right to return to this circuit, while on the second lap they turn left before continuing straight ahead and then left at Rijkhoven before heading toward Tongeren, where they cross the finish line for the first time before beginning the first of three laps of the second circuit, which they complete in a counterclockwise direction.

On this circuit, they will face two consecutive climbs, the Kolmontberg and the Zammelenberg, as well as two cobbled sections: Manshoven (1,300 m) and Op de Kriezel (1,550 m). The finish is in Tongeren.

The 2026 Tour of Limburg start list

Unsurprisingly, there are many sprinters on the 2026 Tour of Limburg entry list, including defending champion Milan Fretin (Cofidis). It also includes riders such as Dylan Groenewegen (Unibet Rose Rockets), the 2024 winner, as well as Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain Victorious), Milan Menten (Lotto Intermarché), and Sam Bennett (Pinarello-Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team), to name just a few!

Furthermore, although he does not appear on the entry list at the time of this article’s publication, Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step), recent winner of the Scheldeprijs/Grand Prix de l’Escaut, is also expected to start the Belgian race.
