It was almost inevitable... the finish of the 7th stage of Paris-Nice 2026 tomorrow will not take place in Auron. Indeed, with an elevation of 1,614 meters and a rain-snow line estimated at around 1,100 meters, the finish of this stage cannot take place under favorable conditions at this altitude.
Consequently, the organizer of Paris-Nice has decided to modify the route of this stage by moving the stage finish to Isola, where the intermediate sprint for this stage was already scheduled (and thus at an altitude of 858 m). As a result, the stage distance is reduced to the first 120.4 kilometers of the originally planned route.

The route of the 7th stage of Paris-Nice 2026 between Nice and Isola
Tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, 2026, the stage will take place between Nice and Isola.After the start in Nice on the Promenade des Anglais, the riders will first follow the Var River to Colomars. They will then reach the first climb of the day, the Côte de Carros (category 2). Shortly thereafter, they will reach the Côte de Bouyon (3rd category) and continue westward toward Roquestéron, before turning back and crossing the Var River again at the Charles-Albert Bridge.
They then follow the Var River and continue northward, gradually climbing... to head toward the finish in Isola. The intermediate sprint will ultimately take place in Le Plan du Var.
