The 2026 Classic Var is already taking place today, with a completely modified route between La Garde and Brignoles, covering a distance of 176.6 kilometers.

Below you will find the detailed route on an OpenStreetMap map, the race profile, and the list of starters. For this third edition of the race, I will spare you the timetable as it is quite difficult to read. Instead, you will find some provisional timetable information in the route description below.

Won by Lenny Martinez and Christian Scaroni in the first two editions, this third edition of the race will probably be more suited to a sprinter because, whereas previous editions finished at Mont Faron or on the slopes of Fayence, this time the finish will be on flat ground.

The detailed route of the Classic Var 2026 on an OpenStreetMap map and the race profile

The fictitious start will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Avenue Jules Ferry in La Garde. After a 9.4 km neutralized race, the riders will really get the race underway at Les Martins shortly before noon.

Passing through Pierrefeu-du-Var (12:10 p.m.), they will head towards Puget-Ville (12:20 p.m.), where they will continue west towards La Roquebrussanne (12:50 p.m.), before continuing north, passing close to the finish line in Brignoles. They then continue via Brue-Auriac (1:35 p.m.) and on to Varages (1:50 p.m.) before making a short detour west to pass through Esparron (2:03 p.m.), where they make a U-turn towards La Verdière (2:20 p.m.), then Montmeyan (2:33 p.m.) and Aups (2:55 p.m.).

They then begin their descent southward, passing through Sillans-la-Cascade (3:10 p.m.), Cotignac (3:20 p.m.) and Carcès (3:30 p.m.), before skirting lake Le Caramy and passing through Cabasse (3:50 p.m.) before beginning the final stretch westward and arriving in Brignoles (4:08 p.m.), which will be a relief for whoever proves to be the fastest on Boulevard de la Libération!

The list of starters for the Classic Var 2026

115 riders from 17 teams will line up at the start of the 2026 Classic Var.

Among them is Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain Victorious) as a contender, but also young riders such as Arnaud Tendon (Van Rysel-Roubaix) and Mathieu Kockelmann (Lotto-Intermarché) who will be keen to show their stuff on this occasion! Also in the mix are Paul Lapeira (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) and Ewen Costiou, both winners of a stage of the Etoile de Bessèges, and Lorrenzo Manzin (TotalEnergies).
Lotto-Intermarché, which will be promoting Intermarché ahead of Lotto as it does in all French races, will also be fielding Milan Menten, while Tudor is betting on Marc Hirschi.
