The Grand Mass (Hoogmis) is already this Sunday: the 2026 Tour of Flanders (Ronde van Vlaanderen) awaits the riders and all fans of the Belgian classics!
Following Wednesday’s Dwars door Vlaanderen - A travers la Flandre, marked by a last-minute victory of Filippo Ganna (INEOS Grenadiers), who edged out Wout van Aert (Team Visma | Lease a Bike) ... it’s already time for the Belgian classic that is, in a way, the highlight of the Belgian classics season: the 2026 Tour of Flanders.
And this Easter weekend, the Grand Classic promises another spectacular show, even though Wout van Aert has once again seen his dream of winning the last race shattered 😥.
The 2026 Tour of Flanders features a 278.2-kilometer route, with 16 climbs and several cobbled sections, between Antwerp (Antwerpen) and Oudenaarde. Indeed, as in 2024, the Tour of Flanders returns to Antwerp for its start (instead of Bruges, with which Antwerp now alternates). However, the route is a bit different... and even longer!
In this article, you’ll find detailed information on the 2026 Tour of Flanders route, on an OpenStreetMap map that’s also available for download in Google Earth, the race profile, the schedule, and the list of riders for the Belgian race.

The 2026 Tour of Flanders route on an OpenStreetMap
After a team presentation on the Grote Markt, the 2026 Tour of Flanders will start from the Ernest Van Dijckkaai in Antwerp. To leave the city, the riders will first circle the city center before crossing the Scheldt River. On the other side, they will make a round trip before following the river and reaching the actual start at Galgenweel, a semi-natural lake, after 9.6 km of neutralized riding. After passing through Kruibeke, Sint-Niklaas, and Dendermonde, and after bypassing Aalst, it is after passing through Zottegem that they will encounter the first two cobbled sections of the race, Lippenhovestraat (1,300 m) and Paddestraat (1,500 m). They then head toward Oudenaarde, passing near the race finish line to follow a straight stretch toward Berchem, where they turn left twice before climbing the Oude Kwaremont (Old Quaremont, 2,200 m at 4% / max 11.6%, including 1,500 m of cobblestones). On this first pass, they turn right and then immediately left to complete the half-moon of Ronde van Vlaanderenstraat, passing in front of the Karel van Wijnendaele Monument (former cycling journalist and owner, and thus organizer, of the Tour of Flanders from 1931 to 1939).
They then head east toward Ronse, where they continue north through Nukerke and turn east to pass through Etikhove and tackle the second climb, the Eikenberg (1,200 m at 5.2% / max 10%), which is entirely cobbled. The climbs and cobblestones then follow one after another with the Holleweg cobblestones (700 m), the Wolvenberg, the cobblestones of Kerkgate (1,400 m), Jagerij (800 m), and then the Molenberg (463 m at 7% / max 14.2%), partly cobbled. A little further on, they encounter the climb up Marlboroughstraat (2,040 m at 3% / max 7%), then Berendries (940 m at 7% / max 12.3%), and—after reaching the easternmost point of this loop and beginning the return westward— the Valkenberg (540 m at 8.1% / max 12.8%). After a descent to the south, they encounter the climb up Berg Ten Houte (1100 m at 6% / max 21%).
After a quick stop in Renaix (Ronse), they turn left and finish the blue section of the route. After a left turn into the burgundy-red section, they encounter the climb up the Nieuwe Kruisberg/Hotond (2,700 m at 4% / max 8.5%). Another stretch along Ronde van Vlaanderenstraat, in the opposite direction, takes them back to Quaremont and Berchem, and retracing their steps along the parallel path, they climb the Old Quaremont (Oude Kwaremont, 2,200 m at 4% / max 11.6%) once more. This time they turn left twice, leading into the first climb of the famous Paterberg, on cobblestones (360 m at 12.9% / max 20.3%).
They then head toward the Koppenberg, entirely cobbled (600 m at 11.6% / max 22%), then on to the Mariaborrestraat cobbled section (2,400 m), before continuing to the Taaienberg (530 m at 6.6% / max 15.8%), also largely cobbled (500 m).
They then finish the red section of the race by returning to the first major loop (marked in blue) and passing through Renaix (Ronse). They then complete a final short loop, marked in orange, heading toward the finish. In Renaix (Ronse), they take the Oudestraat this time to climb the Oude Kruisberg / Hotond (2,700 m at 4.1% / max 9.4%) before heading back toward the Ronde van Vlaanderenstraat and then toward the Oude Kwaremont (2,200 m at 4% / max 11.6%), followed once again by the Paterberg (360 m at 12.9% / max 20.3%). Immediately after this climb (the 16th and final climb of the race), they turn left toward Berchem and Kerkhove before heading toward the finish in the Minderbroedersstraat in Oudenaarde.
