Three Days of De Panne? That was until 2018. Three Days of Bruges-De Panne (a one-day race)? That was in 2019 and 2020. Classic Bruges-De Panne? That was from 2021 to 2025 ... or even “Sprint Classic” in 2025. From now on, it’s called the Tour of Bruges, with a completely redesigned route that takes place entirely around Bruges.

The first edition of this new event, the 2026 Tour of Bruges, will take place today and will literally be a feast for sprinters once again, as the course is flat from start to finish.

In this post, you’ll find the race route in detail on an OpenStreetMap map — also downloadable in Google Earth — as well as the race profile and the list of starters.

The 2026 Tour of Bruges route on an OpenStreetMap and the race profile

From now on, the Tour of Bruges will take place entirely around the city of Bruges, in the form of two different circuits: a larger one ridden once and a smaller one inside the larger one that will be ridden twice, before the race’s winner is decided in a sprint finish!

From Bruges, the peloton will first head south toward Torhout. Via small roads, they will then reach Wingene, before heading north again through Beernem and Oedelem. This is where they will cross the route of what will later become the small loop, continuing northward. There they will encounter a cobbled section on the Brieversweg (which they will ride three times), covering a distance of 1.3 km.

They will then head up to Damme before descending back to the outskirts of Bruges. They then turn around to head away again, before returning once more toward Bruges to head toward the finish line. After crossing the white line for the first time, they continue on the short circuit that takes them first to Oostkamp before cutting across fields to the east and returning to Oedelem to rejoin the main loop. They then head back toward the cobbled section and toward Damme, before returning to the outskirts of Bruges, moving away from it once more, and then heading back toward Bruges where, on the third crossing of the finish line, we will learn the name of the rider who will succeed Sebastián Molano, who defeated Jonathan Milan last year.

The start list for the 2026 Tour of Bruges

Sebastián Molano (UAE Team Emirates XRG) will have the opportunity to defend his title at the 2026 Tour of Bruges, but among the 153 other competitors, he’ll face some stiff competition that could potentially prevent him from doing so! Notable names include Jasper Philipsen for Alpecin-Premier Tech, Phil Bauhaus for Bahrain Victorious, Cees Bol for Decathlon CMA CGM Team, Simone Consonni for Lidl-Trek, Hugo Hofstetter for NSN Cycling Team, and Dylan Groenewegen—who has recently shown he’s still a force to be reckoned with in the sprinters’ world—for Unibet Rose Rockets... to name just a few!
