1/ Sunday, March 8, 2026 - Achères > Carrières-sous-Poissy - 170.9 km
The first stage starts in the Yvelines department, and this year it will be in Achères. It will take place almost entirely in a loop, as the finish line will be in a town just across the Seine. But don't get too excited, because there is still a distance of more than 170 kilometers to cover between the start and finish. First, the riders will head southwest. Just before reaching Les Clays-sous-Bois, they will then turn west until they reach Bréval, with a short detour via Soindres. They will then head north via Saint-Illiers-la-Ville and La Villeneuve-en-Chevrie, where they will turn right.
They cross the Seine between Bonnières-sur-Seine and Bennecourt, before following the river eastwards. After passing through La Roche-Guyon and Fontenay-Saint-Père, they climb the Côte de Gargenville and the Côte de Vaux-sur-Seine, both category 3 climbs, before reaching the final circuit. After a first pass over the finish line, they will then do so twice. On the second pass over the finish line, they will battle it out in a sprint in Carrières-sous-Poissy. On both passes, they will climb the Côte de Chanteloup-les-Vignes (3rd category) and battle for victory in this very first stage of Paris-Nice 2026 on the third pass over the finish line in Carrières-sous-Poissy.

5/ Thursday, March 12, 2026 - Cormoranche-sur-Saône > Colombier-le-Vieux - 206.3 km
The profile of this fifth stage of Paris-Nice 2026 is much hillier, passing west of Lyon. The stage starts in Cormoranche-sur-Saône, and it is precisely when they reach Lyon that the riders will tackle the first difficulty of the day, the Côte de Lentilly (3rd category). Upon arriving in the Rhône department, they will encounter another difficulty, the Côte de Trèves (also 3rd category). The profile remains hilly at first, but then heads towards a valley following the Rhône, and it is there, in Sarras, that the intermediate sprint of this stage will be contested.
Moving away from the Rhône for the first time, they will then encounter the Côte de Sécheras (2nd category), before returning to it. Moving away from it again, they will have to climb the Côte de Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, a 1st category climb. They then follow the Doux river and have to climb the Côte de Saint-Barthélemy-le-Plain (2nd category), before heading towards the finish in Colombier-le-Vieux, also uphill, but unclassified.
