The classics season began with the Belgian classics last weekend, and before moving on to Paris-Nice, we have a classic that isn't really a classic coming up. Strade Bianche is not a classic in terms of its age (even though the race is already in its 20th edition), but it is in terms of its route and the presence of numerous white dirt roads that punctuate the race.

Strade Bianche 2026 will take place tomorrow, Saturday, March 7, 2026, over a distance of 203 kilometers, featuring no fewer than 14 white dirt roads (12 to be precise, but two of them are used twice) over a distance of 63.1 kilometers (just over 30% of the total distance covered, compared to almost 40% last year). This is two fewer than last year.

Below you will find the detailed route of the 2026 Strade Bianche on an OpenStreetMap map, which can also be downloaded in Google Earth. You will also find the race profile and the Strade Bianche 2026 schedule.

The Strade Bianche 2026 route on an OpenStreetMap map, the race profile, and the timed itinerary

The riders participating in Strade Bianche 2026 will meet for the start in Siena, as has always been the case since 2016. The route is slightly different from those of 2024 and 2025. Two sections of white dirt road have been removed from the route.

After the start, the race heads southwest towards Siena airport and, after skirting around it, the riders arrive at the first white sector, Vidritta #1 (2.4 km, the lowest level of difficulty, subsequently expressed in stars, so here one star: ⭐), from San Rocco. Heading down towards the southeast, three other sections follow: Bagnaia #2 (3.5 km, ⭐⭐⭐), Radi #3 (4.4 km, ⭐⭐) and section #3bis, Sterrato Cantiere "Torrente Stile" (400 m, ⭐).

At Buonconvento, the route changes slightly and riders no longer find themselves on a first circuit, but instead pass through two different streets in the town. First, they head to the southernmost point of the race, in Montalcino, and on the way back they encounter the following two white sectors, which are among the longest and most difficult: Lucignano d'Asso #4 (11.9 km, ⭐⭐⭐⭐) and Pieve a Salti #5 (8 km, ⭐⭐⭐⭐).

They then begin the return journey north, turning right to reach the next sector of San Martino in Grania #6 (9.4 km, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐), the most difficult section of the race.

A little further on comes one of the longest sections, at 11.5 kilometers, and also one of the most difficult, with 5 stars: Monte Sante Marie #7 (11.5 km, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐). The riders then return towards Siena and, after sector number 8, Monteaperti (600 m, ⭐⭐), they arrive at the second and final circuit, north of Siena, which includes two white sectors: Colle Pinzuto #9 (2.4 km, ⭐⭐⭐⭐) and Le Tolfe #10 (1.1 km, ⭐⭐⭐⭐).

Turning right to continue the loop, the Strada del Castagno #11 sector (700 m, ⭐⭐⭐) is already visible, and towards the point where this loop began, the 12th sector awaits the runners, that of Montechiaro (3.3 km, ⭐⭐).

By retracing the beginning of this loop, they pass through the 9th and 10th sectors again, which become the 13th and 14th sectors, and then all that remains is to head towards Siena, where the finish line will be at the usual location in Piazza del Campo in front of the town hall, after a final climb on cobblestones and a final descent to the finish line.
