    Looking back at the week: La Course by Le Tour de France, Paris-Roubaix 2014, ...There was quite some news in the cycling world this week, like for example the announcement of La Course by Le Tour de France, a new women's race, the first informations about Paris-Roubaix 2014, but also the first edition of the Dubai Tour and the start of the cycling season in France for example.

    In this article, we'll have a quick look at these different news items, in case you missed them or simply to allow you to comment them if you want to!

    Arthur Vichot (FDJ) will wear blue-white-red this year as the new French Champion!Under a nice sun on the roads of the Pays des Abers we saw a group of 11 riders get away from the peloton pretty early in the race in line men elite of the French Championships 2013 today. In the end, one of the riders of this group, Arthur Vichot manages to stay ahead with two other competitors and the rider of the FDJ team attacked at the right moment in the last kilometer to win the race and thus become the new French Champion.

    The blue-white-red jersey thus remains in Marc Madiot's team since Nacer Bouhanni put his precious jersey up stake this morning.

    The women's team HTC-Highroad continues as Team Specialized lululemonAfter the announcement that Rabobank will take over the Nederland Bloeit team last week, today came the news that the HTC-Highroad's women's team will continue as Team Specialized lululemon with a new management structure.

    When the news came a few months ago that the HTC-Highroad team was to disappear, Bob Stapleton, the manager of Highroad, indicated he would try to do his best to let the women's team continue. That has been confirmed today, no longer managed by Highroad but still with Highroad as one of it's sponsors ...

    In 2012 it will be the 16th year that Rabobank sponsors a cycling team. Indeed, in 1996 the Rabobank pro team started.     Annemiek van Vleuten wins the UCI World Cup ladies with a victory in PlouayAt the occasion of the last race of the UCI World Cup ladies, velowire.com offers you a summary of this race in Brittany which took place today.

    This afternoon in Plouay the Grand Prix de Plouay Bretagne took place and was part of the UCI World Cup ladies.
