Dans la suite de mon dossier sur le Massif du Bugey, je propose ce col très difficile et toujours aussi bien placé avec le Grand Colombier.

Golet de Biche

1) Par Champagne-en-Valromey

-10,2 km à 7% (14% dont 6,1 km final à 9%) 1325m (725m)

Et par Artemare : 20,5 km à 5,2% (11,8%) 1325m (1065m)

2) Par Giniez (commune de Seyssel)

-11 km à 8,5% (11% dont 8 km à 9,2%) / 1,3 km de descente / 0,8 km à 7,6% (10%) 1325m (958m)
Soit 13,8 km à 6,9% (11,4% sur 1km) 1325m (958m)

B) départ par Champagne-en-Valromey
C) sommet du Golet de Biche
D) départ par Geniez

1)Par Champagne-en-Valromey

Je vais donc présenter ce versant le plus dure (et ses 10 km à 7%) si on prend en compte le départ par Artemare. De ce fait je vais donc débuter le versant de Artemare.

Début progressive dans le village de Artemare.
La suite est sur une route qui va se rétrécir jusqu'à Champagne-en-Valromey, mais qui reste une départementale. La montée est de 4 km à 6,6%. S'ensuit 5 km plat pour rejoindre la vrai difficulté du col à partir du bourg de Poisieu .

Après 15 km peu difficile (de Artemare) on rentre dans les passages les plus dures. Ici 14% …

Sommet du col de la Biche.
Attention au 3 derniers kms très irréguliers entre plat et passage à plus de 10% .

2)Par Giniez (commune de Seyssel)

Ce versant par Giniez est en antithèse avec le précédent présenté. Beaucoup moins progressive, très dure dés le pied mais plus facile sur la fin .

Départ par Giniez . Le premier km est à 11% .

Sur la suite, la route est la même .

Petite descente de 1 km environ, avant de trouver le sommet .

Nouvelle image du sommet. Le dernier km est un des plus faible mais à tout de même 8%.

Les cols : Mont-Revard, Chambotte, Sapenay, Clergeon, Culoz-Anglefort, Biche.

Les cols: Berthiand, Cuvery, Richemond, Rochette(Ruffieu), Lèbe, Biche.

Deux étapes différentes mais beaucoup de difficultés s'enchainant. Celles-ci serviront dans la première étape à fatiguer avant les deux gros morceaux dans les 30 derniers kms. Alors que dans la second étape, la surprise peut-être plus grande avec la partie la plus dure du Golet de Biche puis sa descente rapide et technique (je rappelle 9% de moyenne) vers le village de Seyssel .

Bonsoir Baptiste,

à mon goût, le meilleur enchaînement possible est Rochette-Richemond-Biche-Grand Colombier par Virieu le Petit, tu devrais peut-être le rajouter non ? POur le Grand Colombier j'ai une petite habitude, après Lochieu je reprend la route de Champagne (D69G) avant de remonter sur Virieu-le-Petit (D69F), mais tu fais comme tu veux.
