    Coincé entre Jura et les Alpes, le massif de la Chambotte possède 3 cols intéressants dans l'intégration d'une course cycliste. Leur position permet de faire le lien entre le massif du Grand Colombier et celui des Bauges. Il profite également de la proximité avec les villes d'Aix les Bains, ancienne ville étape régulière sur le Tour, et de Rumilly, qui reçu récemment la visite du Critérium du Dauphiné.


    Du Nord au Sud, les 3 cols présentés sont :

    Le col du Clergeon
    Le col du Sppenay
    Le col de la Chambotte


    1)Le col du Clergeon.

    Le col du Clergeon peut tenir un rôle dans le cadre d'une arrivée à Rumilly. Peu éloigné du Grand Colombier, il permet d'arriver à Rumilly après une descente étroite et technique.

    Le Profil : 10km à 7,3%




    Le pied du col :



    La montée débute par un passage en forêt avant de retrouvé un terrain plus dégagé sur le sommet. La largeur et l'état de la route reste identique du début à la fin. Si le revêtement est excellent, la largeur de la route pourrait être considérée comme étroite, mais ne devrait pas empêcher la caravane du Tour de passer.










    Le Sommet :

    Le sommet correspond au changement de département Savoie / Haute Savoie




    La descente : La route reste identique à la montée, étroite, mais avec un bon revêtement.










    2)Col du Sappenay


    Coté Ouest :

    Je n'ai pas trouvé d'images du coté Ouest, mais la route semble bonne.

    Le profil : 11km à 6%



    Le pied de la montée :






    Coté Est :

    15km à 5%

    Montée très roulante, ce coté du col se termine par un faux plat sur un plateau. Il est préférable d'empruter ce col depuis l'Ouest et de redescendre de ce coté.









    Le Sommet :




    3)Col de la Chambotte

    Ce col permet une arrivée à Aix Les Bains après une descente et quelques kilomètres de plat. Il permet également d'enchainer Grand Colombier et Mont Revard en limitant la plaine.

    Profil : 5,2km à 7,8%



    Le départ s'effectue à l'extrémité Nord du lac du Bourget.



    La suite de la montagne s'effectue à flanc de montagne, au dessus du Lac du Bourget. La route est assez étroite, et l'état du revêtement est correcte pour monter de ce coté.







    Peu avant le sommet, après la seule épingle de la montée, la route passe par un tunnel.



    Le sommet, dans le village de Chambotte.



    Le début de la descente s'effectue sur une route étroite, bien qu'un peu plus large que la montée.





    Puis la route s'élargit.





    La fin de la descente rejoint la route nationale en direction d'Aix les Bains.


    Cols à proximité:

    Ces cols peuvent être associés au col de la Biche, au Grand Colombier, au Mont Revard, Au mont du Chat.

    Bapt, finalement je vais faire encore un dossier sur la Banne d'Ordanche dans le massif central.

    Pas mal du tout tes idée, mais les routes ne sont pas trop étroites ? le problème avec Google street view c'est que ca écrase trop.

    Bonjour à tous et à toutes, effectivement une arrivée du tour de France à Rumilly serait une reconnaissance à cette ville très sportive en passant par ses trois cols magnifiques, Clergeon, Sapenay, Chambotte, on croise les doigts, sportivement, Thierry Bichat.
