    velowire.com on L'Equipe 21 and lequipe.fr

velowire.com on L'Equipe 21 and lequipe.frMaybe you know L'Equipe 21, but if not, it's one of the latest DVB channels in France, entirely dedicated to sports.

A bit before the Tour de France 2013, 100th edition of the Grande Boucle, Stéphane Garabed, reporter for this channel, mainly for cycling and for some other sports, contacted me to realise an item about my passion for the Tour de France and for cycling in general.

This morning, during the rest day of the Tour, this item was broadcasted by the channel in the "L'Equipe du Matin" show and it has also been published online by lequipe.fr.

I therefore now propose you to watch this item hereunder in case you didn't get a chance to see it live or if you would like to see it again!

    paris.thover.com becomes velowire.com!

paris.thover.com becomes velowire.com!As you might have seen, paris.thover.com adopted a new name ... and a slightly different look which together fit better the contents of the website!

velowire.com will continue to inform you about the latest news on professional cycling, rumours for example about the race route of the upcoming Tour de France (in September 2011 they'll be back!), and of course with Google Maps/Google Earth maps of the most important cyling races (those for the Tour de France 2011 will be online soon!).

Change your bookmarks and look for velowire.com now instead of paris.thover.com!

    Why this name change?

For a while I've been thinking that the name of the site no longer fitted its contents and I was thus thinking to change it since a few months already.

    paris.thover.com back online :)

paris.thover.com back online :)As some of you might have noticed, this website was offline during the last few days (Friday 22 December 2006 in the afternoon until Tuesday 2 January 2007 in the morning). This was due to the fact that part of the network on which this server is hosted was turned off: I agree that limiting energy consumption is a good idea, but I do hope that next time this will be done a little bit less radically ;-).

From now on this website is again fully available and you can also leave your comments on all posts, photos and videos!!

Of course I would like to wish all visitors of my website my best wishes for 2007: I wish you happiness and health and hope that all your wishes will be fulfilled! ...

You can leave your comments again!

You can leave your comments again!Since a few weeks it was unfortunately no longer possible to leave your comments to blog posts, photos and videos on this web site or to leave a message in the guestbook ...

This was the unfortunate result of an attempt to fight the huge amount of spam received through these interactive functions of this web site.

The problem has now been solved and you can from now on freely leave tiyr comments on any of the information which you can find on this web site again! What's new is that you have to be able to do some simple calculations (you can use a calculator if needed!! :-), since in order to fight spam you now have to answer a simple mathematic question (add, multiply or distract two digits between 0 and 10; you should be able to find the answer, shouldn't you?!).

Please don't hesitate to let me know what you think of this (ease of use, etc.) since it's now again possible to leave your comments ;-)!! ...

    Finally a blog ...

Finally a blog ...I've been thinking about it for a long time already, but now the day has finally come: www.velowire.com has now been completed with a blog!! This blog is of course additional to the photographs and the videos which will continue to be published.

The main reason that I finally decided to add the blog was the popularity of the story I wrote about the day I spent in the "caravane publicitaire" of La Vache Qui Rit in the Tour de France .

On this blog you will find posts about all kinds of topics: either posts about generic current issues or things happening in France or posts about personal things I have experienced.

As with everything on this website I will always try to publish all posts in three languages, but sometimes it can happen that a post is available only in one or ...
