On Saturday, the Tour de France 2010 will start in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). The NOS, the Dutch equivalent of the BBC, is ready for it and announces this to the Dutch spectators with an original teaser ....

NOS 2010 Tour de France teaser

On the dedicated Tour-website the Dutch official broadcaster announces being ready for the start of the Tour de France 2010. In the tease, which announces that the Tour de France 2010 will be broadcasted from Saturday on their stations, we first see the rim of a bike wheel with the text NOS STUDIO SPORT (the name of the NOS' sports programme), the rest of the wheel and the text TOUR DE FRANCE 2010 on the other side of the rim. Quickly it becomes clear that this wheel is turning in the middle of the Erasmusbrug (Erasmusbridge) which the riders will cross during the prologue on Saturday and where the first stage will start on Sunday (see my article The 2010 Tour de France route on Google Maps/Google Earth and the route and time schedule for the full route of the 2010 Tour de France on Google Maps and in Google Earth.

The spokes of the wheel and the design of the Erasmusbrug form a very nice image in this 3D-animation ...

    Goede Tour gewenst en ik volg het waarschijnlijk dit jaar weer alleen maar via de tv... maar, dat is ook leuk!!!
