I was on holiday in Kep and planning to return to Phnom Penh on Monday, Jan 6 at 1pm. Because of the race there was a 3 hour delay!!! The bus company did not know about the race! Local people didn't know when the race would start or end - there was very little information. There was no redirection of cars or busses - the town was literally cut off from the outside world - and this even though there is a total of 6 lanes down to the beach and back. (on a completely different note: was it on purpose to chose the hottest time of the day for the race? I felt really sorry for the cyclists).
